  Food was good but service was poor. Could just be afternoon staff in training. We ordered 2 fish and chips and a kids fish and chips and the waitress had to go get her notepad.

  We dined there on the 9th of June 2017 and we're extremely disappointed with the food. My husband chose steak pie which he said was OK, vegetables were hard. I chose the American chicken and left majority of it, chicken was dry and chewy, cheese might have been melted when cooked however by the time it was served it was hard and unpleasant. Think the owner noticed our disappointment by the look on her face as she came towards us. Our chocolate fudge cake appeared to be microwaved. Would not recommend this place.

  We wanted to try the famous "smokies" in Arbroath, and we choose this one, because it's near the harbour. We ate "Arbroath Smokie" (haddock) and scampies, well the haddock it was ok, but too much for us... I mean, the flavour is very intense and we didn't like it, but if you like this kind of smoked fish, I think that could be nice. The scampies, well not very nice in this case, it was very basic, and very small prawns.
  The restaurant in general was nice, but the service was very slow (and we were only 4 tables).
  About the price, for us it was more expensive that we expected.
